Hello world!

Welcome to my very first post on my brand new updated website!
The site was designed as a platform to aid in my job search.

It’s hard to believe that after six successful years hosting mornings at Classic Hits 107-5 FRANK-FM/Portland, ME that I no longer get to wake up at 3am and go talk to Frank Nation about my life, their life, pop culture, and current events, play silly games, and laugh until tears run down my face.

But to quote the #1 overused phrase I’ve heard in the past 72 hours…”Everything happens for a reason.” So I’ve made that my new mantra, and I’m moving forward with a positive attitude.

One thing that I guess I always knew, but didn’t think about much, is that I’m truly blessed with great friends. Take this website for example. After my buddy Chris heard the news that I was no longer working, he immediately volunteered to get a new site going to help with the job search. Which is good because I know absolutely nothing about how to build one of these! My dear friend Donna, the Graphics Queen, texted and asked to re-tool my resume and references. A great Program Director, and a guy that I really like a lot, Tom Cook called with solid advice on making my audio demo sound better.

Of course I’d be remise if I left out my wife Charmen. She believes that I’m much more talented than I really am. That’s probably because for years she’s heard me say how great I am! Thank God she believes it because her encouragement pushes me to apply for jobs that I probably have no business applying for. And my kids, Jack and Nick, inspire me to follow my own advice about doing your best and never giving up.

Thanks to all of them, and to all of the other friends that I didn’t mention by name. You guys are appreciated more than words can say. And thank you for dropping by the site and reading this.

You guys rock!

Bill

Hey, Chris made this real easy! Bill, best of luck in the job search. Our mutual friends are keeping their fingers crossed that you find something in this market, but you’ll do well wherever you land. Remember, you can always go Back to Gilwell! Irene

Pachari! Thanks for checking in. Miss you…we need to catch up soon. Although Facebook does a pretty good job of keeping me up to date with your globe trotting. Still bet it isn’t as fun as “back in the day” when we were in Iceland!

Bill, You are truly talented. I’ve listened to radio my whole life from California to.. well.. Maine. I know what draws me to listen and what causes me to change stations. Since you were pointed out to me, I’ve listened to you every chance I got. You will do well. Rock on Bill!!!

Bill – So sorry to hear of your departure from the Frank’s Place show. I tuned in the other morning, heard Stan and thought you must be on vacation. But there was something wrong, because the station promos only referred to Frank’s Place, not Frank’s Place with Bill & Heidi. I am sorry to see my instincts were correct. I’ll echo the sentiments of others that you should land somewhere quickly. If it is in Portland, Frank is in trouble, because Stan sounds OK, but you are the man! Good luck!

Jim…thanks! I appreciate all of the kind words. I”ll miss being a part of Frank Nations morning. But I’m excited about the future and look forward to a new show. Check back here and I’ll be sure to let everyone know where I am so that you can at least stream it online. Have a great Labor Day Weekend…and be safe.

Hi Bill… I have a suggestion for a conversation topic…Why is Michael Vick playing on the field, when he should be behind bars? Does anybody agree with me on this one? Just wondering.

    • http://www.billfoxrocks.com Bill Fox

As most people know, I’m a HUGE animal lover. We have a rescue Boxer, 5 cats, a rabbit, and a guinea pig. I’ve been involved in Greyhound rescue since 1992.

However horrible his crimes were, my feeling is that Vick paid his debt to society. He has done everything asked of him by the court and the NFL. Michael Vick has every right to play in the NFL…and I honestly hope he’s turned his life around and plays well.
